Take an Art Walk!
“You’re the cottages with the sculptures, right?”
Yes! Step outside your cottage gate and stroll our small but growing sculpture garden of larger-scale outdoor contemporary pieces.
Who are the Artists?
All works are the creations of accomplished, living sculpture artists, mostly from the west coast, each of whom have many pieces displayed in public sculpture gardens and downtown urbanscapes throughout the west and beyond. Most of the artists came and visited Olema Cottages to create a piece specifically for installation here.
Return to see what’s new!
We always have something in the works, growing the collection by one or two commissioned pieces each year. Someday maybe people will say, “Hey, you know that amazing park in Olema with tons of sculpture—well, I heard they have some really cool cottages in there too!”
Follow us on Instagram, where you can see the new installations and learn about the artists.
Peaceful country setting
Our cottages are set in a quiet country acre of flowering gardens, open lawns and towering eucalyptus trees — surrounded by iconic West Marin rural views of neighboring pastures, grazing horses and rolling hills.
There’s a lot of wildlife around here and you’ll often see deer, bobcats, coyotes foxes and turkeys passing through the surrounding pastures.
Rise and shine and take your coffee out to a bistro table in the yard to be close to the charms of quail and hummingbirds making their morning rounds. Return again after sunset and raise a glass of wine to the music of croaking frogs and hooting owls.
Head over to our little “beach hut” and help yourself to a cooler of ice, beach chairs and blankets before heading out to the sand. While in there, check out our 300+ movie collection for your after dinner chillin’ after a long day of local adventures.
