Is Internet service available inside the cottage?

Yes, all cottages and guest rooms have strong WiFi.

WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?

Depending on which cottage or guest room, length of stay and the dates, the range for single or double occupancy is $240 – $270/night.  To the rate we add the required 14% Marin County Lodging Tax.  We don’t charge cleaning fees or any other fees.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN STAY IN A COTTAGE?

All cottages and guest rooms can accommodate up to 2 people. If two of you are sharing a cottage and need two separate sleeping spaces, no problem! Choose Sunflower Cottage, Cypress Cottage or Berry Vine Cottage because they each have 2 beds.

Do you offer a discount for longer stays?

Yes! We are pleased to offer discounts on stays of 5 or more nights and also weekly rates. Please inquire.

What kinds of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and cash. Full payment is required at the time of booking. If your reservation is for 5 or more nights and is more than 30 days away, you may request to pay 50% at time of booking and the remainder when you arrive.

What is your cancellation policy?

A cancellation with at least 14 day advance notice (28 days notice if your party is booking more than one cottage) will be fully refunded less a 10% processing fee. With less than 14 days notice, any nights that we are unable to re-rent will be charged the full rate. The same applies to those who may have to arrive a later day or depart an earlier day than expected.

Reservations that exactly meet the minimum stay requirement can not later be changed to a reservation for less nights.

When is check-in and check-out?

Self check-in is anytime after 4 PM and departure by 11 AM. So that we may properly prepare for our guests, we are rarely able to accommodate early check-in or late check-out, so please plan your trip accordingly.

Are dogs allowed?

Sorry, no. Hopefully you can get a doggie-sitter and come visit us.

Is there a cleaning fee or cleaning deposit required when renting a cottage?

No. We provide you with a beautifully clean cottage. After you check-out we clean it at no charge to you. Relax and enjoy your vacation and leave our house cleaners a tip if you’d like to.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM STAY?

We often require a minimum 3-night stay, except for slower periods and last minute. You are always welcome to inquire about a 1 or 2-night stay because we may have a spot! 

Is breakfast served?

All cottages are stocked with Peet’s coffee and organic teas that you may prepare for yourself at anytime but we are not a B&B. We hope you’ll enjoy the freedom to eat whenever and wherever you wish. There are many restaurants and bakeries nearby. For those who love to eat in, all cottages have private dining areas inside and out and also have either a full kitchen or small kitchenette for preparing food.

How are the cottages heated?

All our cottages have new gas wall furnaces and some have  a wood stove too!

Where are the beaches in relation to the cottages?

All the beaches are contained within the Point Reyes National Seashore Park.There is no entrance fee or parking fees to go to the beaches. We are located just 1/2 mile from the Visitor Center and main entrance to the park. You are as close as you can be to many beautiful beaches. There is no lodging within the park except the youth hostel and camping.

How far to restaurants and shopping?

In the village of Olema, just a two minute walk away, there is a restaurant with full bar, a deli/market and a couple boutique-type shops featuring clothing, gifts and art. In the town of Point Reyes Station, two miles away, there are several restaurants, a lot of food shopping (supermarket, bakeries, cheese shops, butcher shop, farmer’s market), art galleries, bookstores, pharmacy, clothing, shoes, thrift and gift shopping.

How far to the city or the airport?

Unless you travel during peak times you can get to San Francisco in one hour and to the San Francisco Airport in one hour and 15 mins.

Is the property available for weddings, family reunions, or other events?

Sorry, no, we are not able to have events here.

WE WANT TO INVITE PEOPLE OVER DURING OUR STAY, OK?

Use of the property is for registered guests only. Please do not invite others during your stay. When you get here and see how peaceful it is on the property, you’ll be thankful for this policy.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking in or near the cottages is prohibited. Smoking is permitted in a specially designated outside sitting area that is away from all cottages.

Can we BBQ During our stay?

Yes, if you are staying in Sunflower Cottage, Cypress Cottage or Berry Vine Cottage you will have your own charcoal grill and BBQ utensils.  You can bring a bag of charcoal briquettes or buy them here in town at Palace Market.

Are gift certificates available?

Yes. We are happy to prepare any kind of gift certificate you’d like and can get it to you immediately via email or US mail.
